|Day 1||Brisbane||Welcome to the 'Sunshine State' of Queensland and the capital city of Brisbane. Your hotel room is available for immediate check-in. A pre-night is not required for early check-in. |Day 2||Brisbane||Start your day with an orientation tour of the city. See the mix of historical buildings and modern high-rises. Afterward, travel to the AUSTRALIAN ZOO, "Home of the Crocodile Hunter." See some of Australia's famous wildlife. You can hand-feed kangaroos, pet a dingo, see the amazing saltwater crocodiles and more. A special [LF] visit and presentation at the zoo's WILDLIFE HOSPITAL is included. |Day 5||Cairns||The Great Barrier Reef was described by Sir David Attenborough as 'The most magical place in the world.' Today is your chance to experience this stunning wonder and beauty for yourself. |Day 7||Uluru (Ayers Rock)||Today, fly to the Red Center of Australia and visit Ayers Rock, a UNESCO world Heritage Site, known also by its Aboriginal name, Uluru. Enjoy a DRINK and an amazing sunset as the changing colors fall across Uluru and the landscape. (B)|
|Day 8||Alice Springs||Today, travel through the heart of the Outback. Arrive in Alice Springs where sightseeing includes a visit to the SCHOOL OF THE AIR and the OLD TELEGRAPH STATION. At dusk, visit [LF] THE KANGAROO SANCTUARY, home to Chris "Brogla" Barns, otherwise known as 'Kangaroo Dundee.' First established in 2005, the sanctuary rescues orphaned baby kangaroos and adult kangaroos and has been featured on the BBC and National Geographic channels. |Day 10||Adelaide||Early this morning, depart Adelaide and travel by motorcoach and ferry to KANGAROO ISLAND, one of the world's last unspoiled habitats. Visit SEAL BAY CONSERVATION PARK with a national Park Ranger to see a colony of rare Australian sea lions. Here's your chance to walk on the beach and see the animals up close. Keep your camera handy for some terrific photo ops! Next up, explore FLINDERS CHASE NATIONAL PARK, a sanctuary for native Australian animals, including kangaroos, wallabies, and koalas. Stop for a walk on REMARKABLE ROCKS, with stunning views of the sea. Next, visit ADMIRALS ARCH, a unique rock formation and home to a colony of New Zealand fur seals. |Day 12||Melbourne||After time at leisure this morning, travel to Phillip Island and experience breathtaking natural beauty, pristine beaches, scenic coasts, and crashing ocean waves. Our first stop is the KOALA CONSERVATION CENTER where you'll have the chance to see koalas up close in their natural habitat. The day's highlight is the famed [LF] PENGUIN PARADE where you'll experience the magic of little penguins returning home at sunset to one of the largest penguin colonies in Australia. Watch as these beloved fairy penguins waddle from the ocean to their burrows in the sand around you. It's sure to be a highlight of your trip. |Day 14||CRADLE MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK||Journey to Tasmania. Visit an ICE CREAMERY where you'll have a chance to sample one of the 24 flavors. Later this afternoon, find yourself in CRADLE MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK, home to towering mountains, ancient rainforests, and abundant wildlife. Tonight, be treated to a [LF] PRESENTATION on the park by a local expert who will teach you about the park's history and give you tips on spotting wallabies, wombats, pademelons, and more. (B,D)|
|Day 15||CRADLE MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK||Today is spent exploring the beauty of Cradle Mountain National Park. Sightseeing includes a visit to the Ronny Creek Boardwalk, an easy walk to take in the fresh air, scenic views and the chance to spot wombats, the chubby little creatures who call this part of the park home. Then travel to Dove Lake set beneath the towering spires of Cradle Mountain. There's time to admire the scenery, snap photos, and for those that wish, take the walking trail around the lake for a full perspective (approximately 6 km/3.7 miles). This afternoon is yours to explore the park at leisure. You may want to visit the Cradle Mountain Wilderness Gallery dedicated to Tasmanian artists, or just relax at your hotel and take in the amazing environment. This evening, enjoy a behind-the-scenes visit to [LF] DEVILS@CRADLE, a unique sanctuary concentrating primarily on the Tasmanian devil. |Day 19||Sydney||Today is at leisure to explore all that Sydney has to offer. You may want to take an optional excursion to experience one of Sydney's famous beaches, Bondi Beach, where your local surf instructor will give you a tour of the lifesaving club and teach you how to surf. You'll enjoy a casual beachside lunch. You can also choose to see the city from a different view, from atop the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb. |Day 20||Sydney||Another day for you to explore Sydney. You may wish to visit the elegant Queen Victoria Building with its three levels of fashion, jewelry, and gifts. |Day 21||THE NINGALOO REEF||Today, fly from Sydney (via Perth) to Learmonth Airport in Western Australia. From here, be transferred to your resort located at the Ningaloo Reef (Exmouth) for a 3-night stay. (B)|
|Day 22||THE NINGALOO REEF||Today enjoy a once-in-a-life time opportunity to glide alongside WHALE SHARKS (April-June) or HUMPBACK WHALES (July-September). Swimming with one of these beautiful creatures is one of life's most breathtaking experiences. Also be on the lookout for other playful creations like manta rays, turtles, dolphins, dugongs, and tropical fish. Whale watchers are welcome onboard as well (those not wanting to snorkel). Return to Exmouth where the remainder of the day is at leisure. (B,L) NOTE: Both Whale Sharks and Humpback whales are wild creatures. Everything will be done to maximize the likelihood you will swim with a whale, but we cannot guarantee it. Since the whales will continually move, swimming is required to do the interaction. You will need to be a confident swimmer and be able to snorkel and swim freestyle. The whales are found in the open ocean so you may be swimming in currents and swells. If you do not wish to get in the water, you may remain on the boat and watch these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.|
|Day 23||THE NINGALOO REEF||Enjoy a full day at leisure. Take a stroll on the beach or relax at your resort. You may wish to canoe, kayak, or snorkel more of the beautiful Ningaloo Reef on your own. You can also opt to take a guided gorge walk or cast a fishing rod in the nearby waters. Make sure to visit the town's shops for a favorite souvenir and get your photo next to the town's giant prawn statue. A must do! (B)|

Booking your Vacation with Air
For air departure dates within 331 days, you'll be offered a choice of carriers and flight schedules as well as price points to choose from when selecting your flights. Your schedule will be provided to you at the time of booking (schedules are subject to change by carriers). Globus offers 2 air options: Flex Air and Instant Purchase Air. Flex Air allows flexibility if you want to make changes to your vacation schedule. Instant Purchase Air may offer additional airline options but has more restrictions. Some vacations may only offer one Air type option. Guaranteed air-inclusive prices: air is only available to passengers traveling from the United States and only available when booked in conjunction with a land vacation. An additional $300 per person non-refundable air deposit is required for Flex Air booked in conjunction with any land vacation (i.e. air-inclusive vacation). Air can only be booked by Globus in conjunction with a vacation package. Instant Purchase Air requires air payment in full at time of booking (i.e. air-inclusive vacation) plus non-refundable per person service fee ($30 for North/Central America, $50 for Europe/Middle East and $80 for all other destinations.
